Bloemtuin Lodge offers the peace, comfort and cuisine you
would expect from a small boutique hotel. It was only recently
completed and was built to exacting eco-friendly standards that
complies in letter and in spirit with generally accepted
conservancy principles.
The walls of most units are uniquely made from plastered
strawbales which ensures year-round climate control without the
need for mechanical intervention.
There is minimal architectural impact on the immediate
environment because of the extensive use of decking to prevent
the necesity to build disruptive pathways. We use the latest
waterheating technology based on the conversion of sunlight to
minimise the use of electricity. Although we are not certified as
such we are sure that Bloemtuin Lodge is at least carbon neutral.
