It is essential that rather than just pick up a brochure and keep walking, you try to speak to the representatives at these shows in order to get a feel for the kind of people who will be your hosts when you finally reach your hunting destination. Ideally, the person or people you speak to will be the same individuals who will meet you at the airport and take you through your paces once you reach the hunting area. The best-case scenario is when there is a husband and wife team, or well organized back-up involved, as this means that there is always someone available to take care of all the peripheral responsibilities, communication and planning, prior to and during the course of your safari.
