This is where the tender boat comes in.
The skipper is in charge of the tender boat and he knows where the best fishing is to be had.
Equipment similar to bass fishing equipment is made use of.
All fishing equipment will be supplied by Bosbok Safaris, but if you have a favorite rod and or reel you would like to bring, do so with pleasure.
Fish to be caught consists of firstly of the magnificent tiger fish.
Few fish have the ability to make your adrenaline climb sky high like this fish.
It is an incredible fighter, and more fish are lost than landed.
Various different type of tilapia (bream) frequent the waters of the Okavango swamps. Nembwe, three spot, pink face, purple head and thin face are but some of the species to do battle with. there is also catfish and pike in the Okavango.
In the pan handle the fish are constantly fighting the currents, so they are fit and strong and all put up a tremendous fight once hooked.
I am a very keen angler, both fresh and salt water. fishing the pan handle of the Okavango swamps is by far my favorite venue.
Being able to hook into a tiger fish with hippo, crocodile and elephants as onlookers is just something any angler should experience.
Even if you are not a practiced angler, myself and the staff will be more than willing to show you the ropes and help you in any way they can.
